On International Baking Day, we wish to pay homage to one of our very own – Ciara Ryan.
Ciara is our in-house Baker and Pastry Chef. Without her we would not have the delicious array of goodies which appear on our Dessert table, and at the Coffee Bar every day of the week. From her delicious lemon drizzle cake which literally flies off the table everyday, to her gluten free goodies and white chocolate & berry curd cake. Nothing compares to Ciaras wonderful creations.
Ciara has worked with McCambridge’s of Galway since 2012, having previous experience from Gourmet Tart & The Boutique Café in Born. Being a Pastry Chef, she has worked her way through Culinary Arts in GMIT where she spent four years developing her expertise and knowledge.
Ciara says her favorite thing (and we quote) about being a Pastry Chef is that: ‘She gets to eat something delicious everyday’.
Ciaras favorite thing to bake is her Chocolate and Hazelnut Brownies, simply because ‘they are a perfect combination of two ingredients which work extremely well together’. (These little squares of heaven can be found in our Barista downstairs or our Restaurant upstairs on a daily basis).
When asked what her favorite thing about working at McCambridge’s was. Ciara replied: ‘The people. Everyone is so lovely and I look forward to coming into work to see the crew every day’.
The same goes for us here at McCambridge’s, we love working with Ciara (and our entire team) on a daily basis.
As the saying goes; ‘A ship is only as strong as it’s crew.’ McCambridge’s is very lucky to have an extremely strong crew.
